Karn Havos, Bedruthan

Karn Havos is a luxury development of nine new eco-homes by KastArchitects. This was one of three properties we have worked on within the site and is a high-end holiday rental property. On this occasion, the client gave us carte blanche to create what we felt would achieve the ultimate in sophistication. The location was quite elevated and while it looked across the fields to the sea, it often felt the full force of the wind and weather. With that in mind, we took inspiration from nature and adopted an elemental approach. 

Vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glazing allowed the light and air to circulate freely, while the use of earth colours anchored the interior to the landscape beyond. The water element was introduced with bespoke Rothschild & Bickers handblown glass lighting. The elegant pendants, set at differing heights above the dining table added both dimension and sea colour to the space.
